The Skyraider airplanes were United States single seat attack bombers that were used in the 1950’s, 1960’s, and the early 1970’s. This aircraft was originally designed to meet the requirements for a World War II carrier based, single place, high performance, long-rage, dive/torpedo bomber. Sadly it was produced too late to take part in World War II, so it became the backbone for the U.S. Navy and the United States Marine Corps. The AD-6 Skyraider was produced too late to see any action in the Korean War, However, they went one to be used in the Vietnam War and had plenty of success there.
