She can also provide any field support that maybe required helping sustain the fighting force. The C-5 Galaxy can carry more than any other airlifter. She can carry 36 standard pallets and up to 81 troop simultaneously. She can even carry bulky items such as a 74 ton mobile scissors bridge from the United States to any theater of combat on the globe. She also has the great ability of taking off and landing in short distances. The C-5 Galaxy is 65.1 feet tall and 247.1 feet long with the wingspan of 222.9 feet. Her max speed is 518 miles per hour and her range is 6,320 nautical miles without air refueling, and of course unlimited miles with in-flight refueling. Her crew consists of 7, a pilot, co-pilot, two flight engineers and three loadmasters. Her cargo compartment is 13.5 feet tall 19 feet wide and 143 feet and 9 inches long.
