The unique features of the C-130H include aft loading ramp and door that is able to accommodate a wide variety of oversized cargo from helicopter to 6 wheeled armored vehicles. The C-130 can also be configured and reconfigured according to her mission. The C-130H model was first built in 1964 and remained in production until 1996. She was given updated Allison T56-A-15 turboprops, a redesigned outer wing, and updated avionics along with a few other minor updates. Later H models came equipped with fatigue-life-improved, and the center wing was retro-fitted. The C-130H is still used by the US Air Force and many other foreign air forces. The C-130H is 97 feet and 9 inches long and stands 38 feet and 9 inches tall, with a wingspan of 132 feet and 7 inches. Her empty weight is 83,000 pounds and her max takeoff weight is 155,000 pounds. Her max speed is 379 miles per hour and her range is 2,360 miles. Her crew consists of two pilots, one flight engineer, and one loadmaster.
