The HC-130 is operated by the U.S. Coast Guard as well as the U.S. Air Force, but they have the HC-130N and P models. The main purpose and role of the HC-130 is to provide extend the range of combat and search and rescue helicopter by being able to provide them with air refueling. The HC-130 first entered the world in 1964, and has served many roles and missions in her lifetime. She was originally designed to conduct search and rescue missions. As well as providing a command and control platform for in flight-refuel helicopters and carry back up fuel for extending range for air refueling. The HC-130 can function and fly during the day with a low amount of threat but she usually flies at nigh at low-level. They make their air refueling and airdrop operations by using night vision goggles. She is also used for performing tactical airdrops of pararescue specialist The HC-130 is 97 feet 9 inches long and stands 38 feet 3 inches tall with a massive wingspan of 132 feet 7 inches. Her empty weight is 76,780 pounds and her max take off weight is 175,000 pounds. Her max speed is 380 miles per hour and she cruises at 333 miles per hour.
