She became best known for the raid on Tokyo on April 18, 1942 led by General Jimmy Doolittle, but she also did many other great things. The B-25 Mitchell saw a lot of combat duty during her time. She was flown by the Dutch, Chinese, Russians and Australians as well as the United States. The B-25 was originally designed for level bombing at medium altitude but she was mostly used for bombing Japanese airfields and beach emplacements from treetop levels. She was also successfully used for strafing and skip bombing enemy ships. Several B-25 Mitchells still exists today, one of them being the Executive Sweet. She was retired in 1958 and stored at Davis-Monthan Air force Base. Then, in 1960, Christler and Avery Aviation of Greybull, Wyoming bought her and she was converted into an aerial sprayer. After that she was bought by Filmways Incorporated of Hollywood and was restored in 1968 as Vestal Virgin for the movie Catch 22. Then in 1971 Tallmantz Aviation of Orange County, California bought her. A year later Ed Schnepf and Challenge Publication of Van Nuys California bought her and changed her back to the Executive Sweet and updated her nose art. You can still see her at some air shows in the United States.
