Cessna 182 Skylane II History:

The Cessna 182, which was marketed under the name of Skylane, is a four-seat, single-engine, light airplane. She is however, equipped with the option of adding two child seats to the baggage area. The Cessna 182 was first introduced to the world in 1956, and since then the Cessna 182 has been produced into several different variants. Which, one includes a retractable landing gear and the Skylane II which has a bunch of updated features than her sister the Skylane. Since 1956 over, 22,196 Cessna 182 Skylane’s have been built.

The Cessna 182’s are mostly use for private use these days, but she did see some action by the Civil Air Patrol, as a platform for the Satellite Digital Imagining System and of course she was also used for some search and rescue operations.

The Skylane is 9 feet 4 inches tall and 29 feet long, with a wingspan of 26 feet. Her empty weight is 1,970 pounds. Her capacity is four with a crew of one. She has never exceeded the speed of 201 miles per hours and her max speed id 173 miles per hour, with a cruise speed of 167 miles per hour.
