She made her first flight in 1968 and like any aircraft out there she needed some improvements made and in 1978 a new improved variant was introduced as the 414A Chancellor. The Cessna 414 was only produced between the years of 1968 through 1985. There were a total of 1,070 built. The primary user of this personal aircraft is the United States. The name Chancellor was first used in 1976 for marketing reasons. But then in 1978 a more improved variant of the Chancellor was made and she came with major changes. The new improved Chancellor had come through a major re-design and her wingspan was increased along with her integral fuel tanks. She was also given an extended nose for more baggage space. The Cessna 414 is 11 feet 5 ½ inches tall and 36 feet 4 ½ inches long, with a wingspan of 44 feet 1 1/2 inches. Her empty weight was 4,365 pounds and her gross weight was 6,075 pounds. Her max speed was 271 miles per hour with a range of 1,528 miles at a service ceiling of 30,800 feet.
